Summary

This story is about a Viking boy named Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. Hiccup is the heir of his tribe, Hooligans.  Unlike other Vikings, Hiccup has red hair and is very thin and small. In addition, Hiccup is the only person who can speak Dragonese. The Roman wants to conquer the world, including the Viking. The Roman Kidnaps Hiccup and Camicazi, the heir of the other tribe, and makes the Vikings believe that it was the other tribe kidnapped their heir. Before the kidnap, Hiccup knows about the scheme and tries to warn his father, but his father does not believe him. Hiccup needs to escape from the Roman in prevent the war between the tribes.

Review

It is an American style story, I think. The main character is a weak, small boy that everyone can bully, which is very, very ordinary. The character will have an opportunity or ability to become the hero, extraordinary person. It likes Spider Man. I think the setting is interest by turning all the animals into dragon. The book's illustrations are interesting, I think. It likes a four-year-old had drawn it, kind of sloppy and unattached. After pages and pages, it does have it flavor in it. Not that many books had this kind of illustrations.
